Looking for a perfect date night spot? Brazas Cocina has you covered. This dimly lit restaurant exudes sexy vibes and a romantic aesthetic. It's a bit more energetic than traditional dining establishments, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere, especially if there's a DJ or live entertainment. We visited on a Saturday evening without reservations. We called ahead to check, and it was no problem. Arriving around 8pm, we were seated promptly. The decor was fabulous, giving off a chic Miami vibe. Our server greeted us quickly and provided menus. The cocktail menu was sufficient, though the lack of prices on the house cocktails was odd. We went with spicy margaritas. My partner enjoyed his mezcal cocktail, but mine was just okay--it had unexpected hints of coconut not listed in the ingredients. The second round of cocktails also had inconsistencies; my partner's drink tasted completely different. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cheese bread to start. It came with a chili oil that was essentially dried chili flakes in oil--tasty but not visually appealing. We began with aguachiles, which were good. I appreciated the cucumber underneath the shrimp, acting like a carb-free tostada (tostadas were also provided). We also tried the tacos de lengua with bone marrow, which were very tender and delicious. For my entree, I had the enmoladas de mole. The mole had a nice depth of flavor but lacked the expected spice, even though I was warned it would be spicy--this is Bakersfield, after all. For dessert, I chose the pan de elote. While it had good flavor, the trail-mix topping (M&Ms, peanuts, dried fruit, and popcorn) was confusing and doused in a sauce that seemed to mask the fact that the dessert wasn't fresh. Overall, Brazas made for a nice evening. That Saturday night was quite loud, featuring karaoke, which isn't ideal for a weekend date. Prices were a bit high, but that's becoming the norm these days.

Great ambiance and service! Food was really good, we had the Chicharron and Calamari appetizers. I had the Camarones al Ajillo and it was delish! The veggies were a little much and not cooked to my liking but the rice and shrimp were really good. Husband had the Rack de Cordero con Salsa de Mostaza Dijon - very good. He was obsessed with the mashed potato's. We got the peaches for dessert which was so good! But wish they were cooked down a little bit more - cool at table experience though! They flambé it in front of you.

This place was amazing : I had the lamb and chicken enchiladas. The ambiance was nice and the service was very good, they treated us very well and were very attentive. They put our napkin on our lap and boxed our food. I enjoyed my experience

If you like excellent quality dining, this is a great spot to lounge at the bar with some drinks or grab a bite. My Girlfriend brought me here for my birthday and all i can say is wow! The place has a very intimate atmosphere with beautiful decor. Mixologist is on point. Drinks made with experience and expertise. Thank you sir! Our waiter was very accommodating and professional. Our food was very flavorful so thank you to the chefs/cooks for making delicious food. Only issue I had was the flan, maybe it was a bad batch but maybe try again next time. After a wild celebration of the most amazing humans we gathered here before the weekend ended and we went our separate ways. It was alright. Some things were great and some things were meh. But the ambiance and the company made it everything. And the mimosa bar and fresh fruit were sublime.

Again another night of delicious food and service and romantic ambiance. We had our date night here and it was perfect. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious!

Upon entering I felt like I had entered into a fairy tale land greeted by Damia, Gloria and another wonderful girl which I didn't quite catch her name. The ladies were booked with parties but they found a cozy spot for us. We were seated and Miguel came right over with a huge Colgate smile and asked us what we wanted to drink right away. We ordered l Cadillac margaritas, guacamole with chips and fried calamari. The good and drinks were absolutely mouthwatering! Definitely a place you need to experience and the prices are high but absolutely worth it! Next time I will head straight to the bar area it looks cozy and it's open seating! Oh! There is also live music! What's not to love???
